Everything to Know for the Copenhagen Half Marathon
With almost 30,000 runners, the Copenhagen Half Marathon is one of the largest in Europe. The course is very flat, and takes runners through some of the most well known sections of Copenhagen. This years course spends more time in some of the famous sections of Copenhagen, with runners passing Nyhavn twice.
Bib pick-up: Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Kbh. Ø
Dates and Times: Thursday (9/12) from 12PM-7PM and Friday (9/13) and Saturday (9/14) from 10AM to 7PM
Start time: 9:30AM, it will take up to 50 minutes for all the waves of runners to enter the course so prepare accordingly.
Starting area: Øster Allé – Vibenshus Runddel st. is the closest metro stop

In 2023, I had the opportunity to run the Copenhagen Half Marathon. While I wasn’t thrilled with the organization, the course itself is well thought out and great for speed.
